Almost everyone, at least once in his life heard the name of George Washington - first president of the United States and one of the founding fathers of the United States, but not all the facts of his life are known to the masses.

- When Washington was led the Continental Army, someone tried to poison his tomatoe (!!!) - at the time it was considered poisonous.

- In his spare time the hobby of this politician was cultivating of some varieties of horticultural crops, including cannabis.

- Washington organized the construction of the White House and laid the "first stone" of the building, but never lived in it. Completion of construction Washington did not wait. Construction was completed a year after his death.

- George Washington had false teeth, because he had problems with their teeth. His dentures were carved from animal bone.

- His first profession - surveyor.

- Washington is the only president of the USA, for which voted 100% of electors.

- In Peterhof has a memorial oak tree planted by Russian Emperor Nicholas I. The tree was grown from an acorn from grave of Washington .
- He had over 300 slaves (390 to be exact).
